Scott Jenkins

Born and raised in the Manawatu, Scott attended Massey University where he completed a B.A. Honours in History. His teaching journey initially began in Levin and he has now been at Morrinsville College for 22 years. Scott led the Social Sciences Learning Area for around a decade and has held a wide range of pastoral and senior leader roles including Deputy Principal.  He was appointed as Principal at the end of 2022.

After completing post-graduate Educational Leadership study, Scott was lucky enough to be awarded a Wolff-Fisher Fellowship in 2017 which enabled the Jenkins family to travel to the USA. As a passionate follower of all sports, Scott still enjoys running out on to the football field each weekend and also watching his children’s sporting activities. After many years in teaching, Scott still considers the most rewarding and important part of his job to be connecting with the students, staff and families of the school community.
